When people think of a “first look,” they imagine the traditional moment of the bride and groom seeing each other before the ceremony. But your wedding doesn’t have to follow the typical script. The first look is all about you, your personality, and your comfort level.

Here are some fun alternatives if the classic first look doesn’t feel like you:

  1. Letter or Gift Exchange - Instead of seeing each other in person, exchange handwritten letters or small gifts.

  2. Private Vow Reading - Take a moment to read your vows to each other in private. No cameras or audience needed.

  3. Back-to-Back Moment - Stand back-to-back, hold hands, or share a quiet moment without seeing each other. You still feel the anticipation.

  4. Family or Bridal Party Assisted Reveal - Let your loved ones help create the moment. Your parents, siblings, or bridal party can be part of a unique first look.

  5. Champagne or Toast Together - Pop a bottle together before the ceremony in a private setting. Celebratory and intimate.

Your first look should reflect you as a couple. Whether it’s traditional or unique, this moment is about connection, not rules.
