Start With Your Backdrop Base
This is the foundation of everything.
We recommend using artificial greenery panels (like boxwood) to create a full wall
Plan for about 8 to 12 panels for a full backdrop
Choose panels that snap together easily
Look for a mix of tones so it doesn’t feel flat
Don’t aim for perfection here. The florals will cover any small gaps
Build Your Frame
Now you need something to attach your panels to.
You have a few options depending on how DIY you want to go:
Simple option: Use a backdrop stand
Budget option: Build a frame with PVC pipe
Attachment tools: Zip ties or command hooks work best
Layer in Your Florals
Focus on adding dimension, not just filling space
Use floral garlands, stems, and clusters
Let some pieces stick out for depth
Add draping elements like vines or amaranthus
Avoid placing flowers in a straight line
Style Your Backdrop
Placement matters more than how many flowers you use. Here’s how to make it look elevated:
Use more greenery than flowers
Mix light and dark tones for contrast
Focus on floral clusters at the top and eye level
Group flowers in uneven sections
Step back often while building. What looks good up close can feel unbalanced from a distance
If you’re transporting it, build it in sections so it’s easier to move and reassemble
